I'm debating on an upgrade right now.

I hear AMD is coming out with their new Zen line of CPUs, but I've been with AMD for a while and haven't fiddled with anything Intel yet. I've had an AMD FX-6300 for a while, and since I've upgraded to a 970 after having a 650ti for a few years, I'd rather not bottleneck my GPU with an old processor.

Right now I'm thinking of getting an i5 6600K, but I would be open to a 6500. Just not sure if I should wait or just get the i5.

Dont bother unless its an h100. A hyper 212 evo is a better performer and cheaper.

I play a lot of cs, dayz, overwatch, and squad.

Oh man... DayZ. I played that for a few months. At the end I was holed up at the lake on the north east corner, just off the map. I had an axe, matches, and a silenced m16 with wood for warmth and sheep for food. Basically turned me into hermit.
