i'm pretty sure the whole police department parking lot thing isn't gonna work out in the long run.
people will start using police parking lots more often after a few more of these murders happen, then police brass will decide they don't want flea markets in their parking lots, then we're back to square oneComment

It doesn't sound like that murder was for theft. Either way, when it comes to selling vehicles I do the following:
1. Take a photo of their driver's license. If your vehicle goes missing, it's helpful to know where they live. Police like this kind of information.
2. Take a look at a copy of their current vehicle insurance policy. The laws here in Canada changed a few years back where someone else can drive your car and in the event of an accident, their insurance company handles the claim. However, if they don't have insurance you're on the hook.
3. Throw them the keys. I don't go with. If the vehicle comes back damaged, that's what small claims court is about. If you really want to cover your litigious ass, do a pre-trip inspection with them and have them note any imperfections. It might act against your sale though because you're basically asking someone to go through your vehicle with a fine tooth comb.
I hope my approach helps others.Comment

Public place during the day. Usually bring a friend. Breaker bar and knives in tow.~Stay Thirsty~Comment

I used to meet people at my house or a parking lot if midway. Sometimes I go to their house if they have a guitar I need to try out. Lately I've been meeting people in the parking lot of my work. I've used CL for years and never had a problem. I meet most people on my own, and most people I meet are on their own too. The key is screening your calls - if the guy sounds like an idiot or from the ghetto, he's probably gonna low ball you anyway so don't meet up. Also try to meet during the day

I always have them meet at my house where I always keep a shotgun by the door in case they're suspicious. A little paranoid, but the Make My Day law is always nice to have.

QFT. The guy wasn't interested in stealing the car or taking money, he literally just killed the guy and went right back to work. Doesn't make any sense.Comment
-
Do they have a fingerprint match on the gun? Do they even have a gun? The other article says he was found in a shallow grave. Where did the worker guy get the time to test drive a car, shoot a guy, find a shovel, and bury him all in one half hour lunch break?

I don't understand how you'd play out this scenerio.
A shotgun isn't going to do anything for you if the guy is within 20ft of you man and I really doubt you're going to greet them with the shotty in hand lol.Comment

My thoughts exactly. Seems like a classic case of charge the black guy.Comment

If the shotty's out of reach, always got the concealed carry. Little Glock .380 comes in handy. I'd actually recommend it for concealed carry over anything else, but I'm a bit biased towards Glock in the first place.
And this is indeed America, dammit. Fuck yeah.

Totally dude, but if someone is within 20ft of you, they are going to get you before you have time to reach your conceal carry.Comment
