Its so odd, I deal with the same shit, as far as coworkers who give zero shits about the work they put out.

I have spent entire days redoing a job that was hacked. My opinion, is that I have another 30 years before I retire. I plan on retiring where I am now, so I don't want any hacked up shit that I'll have to deal with down the road.

Now, I am on the rail, so if an engine takes a shit it isn't the end of the world for anyone. I would think the Aviation industry would have more people who think like I do, than people who think like some of my coworkers....

I love my job. I build subwoofer boxes (some say the best enclosures in car audio) specifically for BMWs.

I work pretty much 24/7 and don't make shit for money, but I enjoy the hell out of my life.

I live with my business partner, we work from home but just got a shop, so we are expanding more into installs and custom builds.

I feel bad for you guys who hate their jobs. I hope you can find something that is better for you, life is too short to put up with a shitty job.

        A. When I had my E34, that was the best sounding box I've ever had. My 10" kicker has never sounded better.

BTW, have you considered branching out? I would love a custom fit enclosure for my B5

        B. Completely agree. While I have no idea why we are here, I know damn well our precious time shouldn't be wasted doing something we hate.

i like my job. working on heavy equipment is a great industry and i know if i get laid off from the big corporation i work at now there are many more that will hire me if i want to stay in this line of work.

also i work for hertz so i get a ridiculous amount of paid vacation, sick days, paid holidays, and really good benefits for me any my family if i ever start one someday.

i also have the option to possibly transfer pretty much anywhere i want nationwide once i have more experience.

when i was in my late teens i worked valet and i liked that too. if you have enough money to live and maintain an e30 and you're not being tortured at work i'd say you need an attitude adjustment before a new job.

Job is on average meh, most days it's pretty ok...it's the stubborn, old, set-in-their-ways,'it's ok for me but not for you', child-like attitude in a 50-60yr old man, backstabbing/shittalking co-worker(s) who has successfully alienated every other co-worker but manages to stay employed b/c he knows the ins & outs. And the fact that workers in Germany have more rights than most know what to do with.

I hate my job... I am in IT. A traditional door mat for everyone, no matter what you do.
Been doing this for well over a decade (closer to two) on both sides of the pond. It is always the same ish.

I love my job. Build and develop suspensions for track cars and some professional teams. But I fucking abhor some of the customers... lawyers, doctors, general know-it-alls that know how to suck the fun out of everything.

I'm not exactly sure yet. I've only been hired at this new job for about 2 months, and I still look forward/count down to 3:30 every day when I get off. Some days I'm busy all day cutting material for our fabricators, or some days I'm machining some spacers or something simple on the lathe, but 90% of the days I get stuck doing random BS fixing/cleaning up other peoples carelessness around the shop. When the boss isn't around it sucks because I really don't have anything to do since I'm not technically a fabricator or machinist, and 98% of the jobs can be handled by a single person.

I'm only 20 years old with only a couple welding classes and general mechanic skills but I'm already tired of being the shop monkey. The pay would be decent for my lack of qualifications/schooling but the job is 50 miles each way from my house and that takes a cut out of my earnings for gas/car maintenance. I'm not working on cars, but I'm greasy/dirty/sweaty all day and I have zero desire to work on my car on the weekends anymore. The job hours are usually good, 7:00-3:30 M-F, but some weeks are more like 7:00am-6:00pm plus my 1hr commute home:???:.

My last job I had I was working at a small construction company as a delivery driver, I worked with a lot of my friends, and it was only a 5 minute drive from my house. I had a blast working there especially in the summer when all my friends from college came back to work. Jamming to music in the work truck and unloading windows and doors to job sites, which is basically a workout too. I then got "promoted" (with no pay raise) to be a supervisor where I drive around to our different job sites, make sure our workers were using all their safety gear, and made sure they had all the materials they needed. All I did was drive around all day in an air conditioned truck jamming to music and play baby sitter. The pay wasn't great and the hours sucked (6:45-5:00 or later M-F) with no overtime pay because we were considered "drivers". The days went by so fast though, and driving around and seeing different parts of the area is always fun.

I need a job where I can drive around all day and get decent pay, and not be a trucker.

I love my job. I just hit my one year mark at my current job. im a diesel engine technician who is in charge of maintaining 34 trucks, 45+ trailers and 14 forklifts. i work alone and dont have to provide work orders. when i was in school doing full time, i would stay up nights working on the car and take power naps at work under trucks and trailers. there are times where i feel into a deep sleep and woke up under a trailer two hours after my shift ended and no one would know. Also this year alone I've received a $3.52 raise!

Right in the middle. My job is okay, it's pretty easy. I sell parts for major European marques all day, get cheap OE replacement parts for my cars but I feel like I could do with a better salary, however, I don't feel that my position here is worth more money than what I get.
