I'm guessing like 900hp+ range easily, it's really not that hard to get that much power out of them if you've got money to spend. This "kid" in Arizona Ryan Woon has one of the worlds fastest supras (runs 8.62 with 1400hp, full interior too) and there's a video of him and some other guys screwing around on the freeway. They can take off that fast and they're all in the 1200+hp range. One of them layed stripes when they got on the gas at 90mph with slicks on.

But yeah, you need a shit load of horsepower to fly by someone that fast at the speed they were cruising at, pretty nasty.
