Any fathers here? Get any cool gifts?

I got an especially cool one. I needed new front wheel bearings on both sides, and I didn't have the cash to get them immediatley, so my grandmother offered to put them on her credit card (since I don't have one), and I could just pay her when the bill came.

Well, she called me today and told me that she would just pay for them for me, as a father's day gift. Grandmothers kick ass.

And Happy Father's Day, fellas. It's my first one. :D

Yeah, and as corny as it may sound, I'm just thankful to have my family all here with me, alive and healthy. That's gift enough. (After working the E.R. this past weekend, I know for a fact there are at least two fathers that won't be spending another Father's Day with their daughters:( ).

BTW, getting stuff is cool too (I got a couple homemade cards) so enjoy. I didn't mean to crap on the fun thread, just saying what I got and am thankful for.

      So post on guys.

This what my wife and kids got me.

I guess I should keep her around a little longer. ;)

Crap it looks like that didn't work, anyway it is a nice large Craftsman tool chest on wheels.

I got my dad address numbers for these two pillars at the end of our driveway.

Is that a boring gift or what?

A happy belated b-day to those of you here with offspring ;-)

I don't have any myself (at least none that I'm aware of :-o ). I spent the day with the family pigging out on some phat bbq and pool-bound vollyball. Got my dad a nice set of pilsner style beer glasses. I helped him break them in with some Sierra Nevada Pale Ale while watching Game 5 of the NBA Finals.

I get the greatest gift I feel everyday- might sound a bit ghey to the R3V kiddies, but just talking to my daughter and seeing her is all the present I need------

except the EVO 3 steering wheel, and DTM mirrors my wife and daughter got for me a couple years ago!

In all honesty though, it is really cool being a father and being able to warp a kid into liking E30s.

My sentiments exactly. I'm going to teach my daughter about cars from an early age. I want her to be able to take care of her cars, change the oil, and know her way around them, so she doesn't get lumped into that "girls don't know shit about cars" category. Just because she's a girl, doesn't mean she shouldn't know how to take care of a car.

Yeah it's a good idea. I've tried to do that, my daughter is only 5.

Though no matter what they say about environment molding personality, she's a girly girl through and through.

No kids, but I bought my dad a mig welder for fathers day.

He was grinning like a little kid as he was welding ///M text into a random piece of metal.
