Need help getting gum off tires?

I'm pretty convinced someone I had a minor "run-in" with yesterday intentionally put a huge wad of gum on the tread of my tires yesterday. Immediately after I left, I noticed a "whoosh" sound coming from my rear right tire. I thought I had a flat, but luckily, it was only a HUGE amount of gum (like 10 sticks or something) or some other similar substance. It's now completely covered in gravel. There's way too much to try picking it off, and is quite difficult to access as well because of the small wheel gap. Any tips? Thanks.

This is for a FWD, by the way.

Here's how you can resolve this...

    1) Mount tire in question onto one of the drive wheels

    2) Torque lug nuts/bolts to spec

    3) Start engine, rev to redline, burnout

    4) Inspect tire post-burnout

    5) Repeat as necessary until all residual gum is gone

only thing I can think of would be to get a razor blade and cut it away from the tire on the top, then dig it out of the treads with a bobby pin or something that won't cut into the tire. If you can't get at it very well, I guess all you can do is take it right off the car.

Maybe try drenching it in something like Goo-Gone? That might help too.

I had a summer job cleaning rooms in a schol and we had this spray in a can that would freeze the gum and then you could just crack it off. Try freezing it with something.

All this will be easier if the wheel is off the car.

Ive had to pick tar out of my tread with a small screwdriver when it was vibrating my car apart.
