Nah, she said she just didn't want it spelled the way everyone else's was.

My whole family is that way, they do it on purpose, just to make our lives hell, I think. My mom's name is Kristie (it's usually never spelled with "K"), and my uncle's name is Jeff, but the full name is spelled "Jeffery".

I'm saying that's how my grandmother spelled my mother's and uncle's names. I wasn't about to list every person's name in my family to illustrate the point.
