Donating Blood + A Little Whiskey

Thread title = cheap date. It's been a good evening lol. This is sort of a ritual of mine since it is sort of fun to get extra buzzified off of a smaller-than-usual quantity of booze, and since I am O- (universal donor) I get the call like clockwork every 56 days. Anyone else here like to partake in this (stupid) method of relaxing?

    Don't judge me.

    Or judge me.

    Whateva.

I do what I want. I'm bad. I kill baby seals.

    That is all.

Oh god. Now the judging will begin. Crown Royal. My wife won it as a door prize at some work function last New Years. A whole handle of the stuff. To be honest, I like it just fine. It goes down smooth, which is sort of the point of blended whiskey. Some of my buddies like to poke fun at it, but it isn't like they drink Macallan 18 either lol.

Typically I like some Hendricks on the rocks with a little fresh-squeezed lemon, or Knob Creek Single Barrel Reserve. Buuuut...that stuff got cleaned out by some friends at a little get-together last week. Since the CR is sitting there, untouched, and my wife really doesn't drink much, I figured that I should start clearing it out.

Most of the time I am a beer guy, but straight liquor on ice has been growing on me.

Yeah, I'm O- and they call all the time. I finally told them I got a tattoo so they would leave me a lone for a while. I give when I want to give.

They always give me some story about a newborn that needs blood and will die or something, and I can't really argue with that. Even though I know it is probably just a story. Actually, I like that Stanford Blood Center uses a fair amount of the blood for research. Directly helping people that need the blood is good and all, but if medical research advances come out of it then I figure everyone benefits.

And besides, they have good cookies and shit at the donation center lol.

I've never donated blood. Something about it weirds me out. I mean, if someone NEEDED it, as in there were no one else, then I would, but otherwise, it's my blood, you can't have it!

And nothing wrong with Crown. If it's good enough for the queen, it's good enough for me.

I'm just afraid that if I drink too much of it my head will detach from my lower jaw when I talk.

Because I've seen so many of them not being a true moscow mule so much, I do sincerely hope you mean one served in a copper mug.

If it isn't in a copper mug, it's just a Buck.

Price check on Vagiclean, aisle five. I repeat: price check on Vagiclean, aisle five. That's Vagiclean. We've got a customer down here with a full-on fallopian fungus. I'm baking a loaf of bread and I think it's sourdough.

Every King needs his Crown. But my biggest beef with donating blood is, they get it for free, yet charge up the wazu for it when someone needs it.
