My boss just told me today that he's giving me a $1.25 and hour raise starting Monday. I won't say how much that is, but I was already making $1.25 more then minimum wage. I'm also switching for part time to a full 40+ hours a week. The money be rolling in now! (for me anyways) :D

Here, let me put this into perspective. I'm only 18 and just graduated from high school. I still live at home currently and have no rent/utilities to pay. Hell, I barely have to pay for food as I usually eat with everyone else. I know what I make is nothing when you have bills to pay, but I don't, so...
The big thing for me is that I am going from 20 hours a week to 40 hours a week. That is where the increase is noticeable.
lordofmpower - More then that.
For those who care/want to know, I work at a CAD Drafting Firm. All I do is sit at a computer and draw in AutoCAD. Easiest job in the world. Can get boring though, but I like it.Comment

That's pretty sweet deal dude, I'm sure you're pleased as punch about it. I too work as a CAD Draftsman for an Architecture firm. How long have you worked there? I've been with my firm for just over a year, but I had a year of working experence before that. If this is your first job, you can expect even better pay once you change firms. I got a 1.00 raise this year, but they hired me at $11.50 an hour. The more experience you have the more $$ you can get!sigpicComment
