    DVD burning software

I just got a DVD burner for my laptop. Is there any free software out there that allows you to rip a dvd movie and then burn it onto a DVD-R?

DVD Decrypter to rip, DVD Shrink to get it down to 4.7 GB so you can burn to a single layer disc.

CloneDVD official site - Best DVD Copy & Clone Software, Copy DVD Movie to DVDR, rip DVD to AVI, MP4, iPhone, iPod, iPad,Android Phone,Android tablet etc. DVD ripper & DVD converter - Removes DVD copy protections to copy, burn & rip DVDs.

its not "free" but pretty easy to steal, I use it just because its all in one and easiest to use.

Assuming you want to copy movies (illegal) DVD shrink is free and the best. (not that I have used it) :) Do a google search I am not posting the link.

DVD43 unlocks them, 1 click DVD copy copies them.

DVDShrink works okay too, but i have heard from a friend that the compressed ones with 1 click dvd copy are usually fine for watching on a Big TV.

Contrary to popular belief, DVD shrink is not the best. It is an old program and is no longer updated so there are more and more movies with protection that it cant remove. The absolute best is Any DVD + Clone DVD combo. Any DVD and Clone DVD are seperate programs but they work in sync with eachother. Any DVD runs in the background and removes copy protection while you are ripping/burning with Clone DVD. It is also very fast and shrinks movies to a single DVD. When I used DVD Shrink there were a lot of movies that would not burn because of copy protection, using Any DVD and Clone DVD I have yet to find a movie that I couldn't burn. You can either get the 30 day trial of each, pirate it somewhere or pay the 40 bucks for both programs.
