what exactly makes a Romanian a Romanian?


I could say that my mother was born in Timisoara and my father in Suceava, but I was born in Chicago, love America, and identify as an American, but still have Romanian heritage. Would that make me a Romanian?

Or do I have to do more things to be apart of that group/culture of eastern Europeans?

I'm speaking in generalities here, not specifics.

i consider myself hungarian because both sets of my mom's grandparents were from there and one of my dad's was as well. my granddad on my dad's side was of german descent so i guess i can consider myself some of that too.

If both your parents are from Romania, then you are Romanian too because you carry the same Romanian blood in you that your parents have.
You don't really have to be apart of the culture to be considered romo.
