i hope they find survivors, but the survival rate of rotary-wing accidents is... not good.

i got fucked with mercilessly when i attached to II MEF as an Army E4 in ramadi, but they still gave me their combat patch before i came home. i respect the hell out of jarheads.

Not to mention where they crashed are super strong currents so sadly they were probably swept out to see in the current.

i remember back in the day i flew in the south pacific. i did a handful of search and rescue missions over open water. 1500' above the sea, grid pattern after grid pattern. praise god for global positioning. unfortunately, in my case we never found a soul. its sad actually.
