Mouton, by a mile. Wrestling a group B Audi Quattro sport around is not for the unskilled, and racing on the dirt at those speeds and conditions make going fast on the paved track a walk in the park. On top of that, the Sport Quattros had no driver's assistance, traction control or any other drivers aid. You also had huge crowds on the course that may or may not get out of the way in time.

If I had to guess, if Mouton, Schmitz and heck, Danica Patrick were all able to race each other head to head while in their prime, (Danica wasn't even born when Michelle was kicking ass) my money is on Michelle. I'd bet she'd win by a huge margin on the dirt, and by a good bit on the track as well. Rally drivers are the best drivers in the world, hands down. Group B drivers were driving some of the craziest cars in history, on the dirt, snow, mud, and occasionally tarmac. I'd like to see Schmitz or Patric wrestle a Group B car in the same conditions that Michelle did. I'd be surprised if they finished the race.

It seems like Mouton is the better driver, but she was racing before I was born. I guess I like sabine better because I'm able to actually follow her.

I couldn't think of any more well known female pro drivers. I know there are some, but I couldn't think of any.

Good point. I totally forgot about her. I'd still say Mouton would win.

I wanted to go with Sabine, but it's pretty much impossible for me to vote against someone who raced Group B.

Fun fact: Lyn St. James is at Sebring with me this weekend! I'm peeved I forgot to bring the Courier's steering wheel for her to sign. Janet Guthrie was the one I was thinking of but couldn't remember. The Powers sisters have been very successful in drag racing, right?

For posterity, this video of Sabine does her more justice.

I've watched that a few times, just counted out the madness. 40th to 1st in one lap, but had passed 21 cars in 1 minute!
