im at 980 with camera with kit lens, vertical grip, 2 gig card, extra battery, and 3 year extended warranty. (including shipping costs) next purchase will be the Sigma Zoom Telephoto 70-300mm f/4-5.6 APO DG Macro lens in the next week or so. that'll put me at about 1200, and i think im good on accessories for a while.

That is a sweet camera man....should produce some nice shots. However, whenever someone says they bought and SLR, I was hoping it was one of these...
