Wow. I wonder what they have to hide... Fuck them.
I wish the guy had been a little less of a smart ass and more prepared with some better responses to shut them up, but still, wow.Comment

I'm generally a pretty tolerant guy...but scientology is fucking retarded. L. Ron is pure comedy...and I just feel bad for the people that were duped into following him.sigpic

I think a SCIENCE FICTION WRITER saying that the evil Lorn Xenu sent aliens from his overpopulated planet to earth, caught their souls, brainwashed them and sent them to cling to humans and try to pass it off as a religion is enough to make a person laugh.

But I digress.

I get really tired of bible literalists-you know, "the King James Bible is the true word of God" types. If God is/was really omnipotent and omniscient, then he/she could have delivered a "guide to life" which was not a contradictory mess of apparent human mythology. It would be clear, concise, and to the point. God-like efficiency. "But God doesn't work that way", they say. As if you can know how God works...:D
You should hear George Carlin juxtapose the UFO guys and the Jesus/God guys. You come away thinking that UFOs are a hell of a lot more likely than the latter.
By the way, as to Scientology...be very, very suspicious of ANY religion that allows you to buy your way to enlightenment. That's why insecure rich people like it. Insert name of gullible movie star here.Comment

LOL.. Scientology.. I'm not sure how they got away with convincing people it's a religion.
For those not in the know. Before L. Ron Hubbard wrote Dianetics he wrote really bad Science Fiction novels and was quoted as saying, "You don't get rich writing science fiction. If you want to get rich, you start a religion"
Scientology preys on the insecure rich only because they have money but because through these people they are able to manipulate companies and industries. A good example is the South Park / Tom Cruise incident where they no longer air the "Tom Cruise won't come out of the closet" episode.
I'm more likely to believe a book written by people over many centuries and followed by historians than to follow a religion made up by a random sci-fi novel author.Comment
