He wasn't impressed by the handling, but in the 2004(?) topgear when they reviewed the exige I think it got like the 2nd fastest lap at the time around their track, beating out a ton of big-hp supercars. Is there really that much of a difference between it and the elise?

how are you calling them underpowered? they go 0-60 in less than 5 seconds! If you've never driven or been in one, stfu with your foolish opinions. 190 hp in a 1900 lb car is not underpowered.

I read the reviews, and I guess I'm not the only one who feels that way.

I was really stoked about buying it - but not so much anymore.

Il Duce, it's funny you mention armeN and someone said an Sk2. He now works at Honda of Pasadena and he wants to sell me an 06' S2000. I thought about it.

          Thanks for the reviews everyone.

Accually yes. I like to give my opinion only when I have first hand info rather than spewing out heresay. I have been in an elise on the street and the track, and i would love to have one, even as a daily driver.

*Overpriced you say? 45-50k for a car that is faster than most other cars on the road including cars like the Porsche Cayman... I wouldn't considder that overpriced.
*Underpowered? 190hp on a car that weighs 1900lbs is not underpowered in my opinion.
*Too fucking small? coming from an e30 owner? I don't think it's too small at all

                jerk.

every thing i said was backed up in the lengthy article someone posted.

dealers mark up elises because theyre so in demand here. they used to sell for about $30k before they got popular, now theres a 10-20k tax on them because theyre so in demand. id call that overpriced. not to mention that for $26k you can get a cherry c5 corvette with a better power:weight ratio, or if you want a new car, you can get a z06 corvette for $10k more and be competing with carreras.

i guess ive just become jaded towards a 10:1 power : weight ratio and its not underpowered, but i stand firm on it being overpriced.

I dont know, if ever I find myself in a position that I could get an exige, I'd do it in a heartbeat. Even if I do have to cut my legs down to fit.

I have a client who has one, he let me drive it a few weeks back. Wow! But it would not be a great car for daily use. He has it as a play toy. If you can spare the dime for that, then, I say go for it!

I saw a picture of my 6' 6" friend in one. Almost his entire head stuck out the roof when sitting in it. ...and it took him 10 minutes to get into it. :)
