Watched the whole episode because my cats wouldn't get off me to let me turn it off. Terrible, the producers weighted everything toward the heavily scripted segments that I always thought were the weakest part of TG. Plus, any collaboration with the military makes me sick.

Not bad, certainly better than the first TG US episode. Although the presenters have to grow into their grooves I felt it was an entertaining start.

Must say that they are missing the third presenter part of the dynamism that old TG had, as it allowed presenters to gang up on each other, and switch sides at will. As is there's a bit much of LeBlanc v. Evans, which could get old.

Hopefully they get over the growing pains. I can't imagine Chris Evans and LeBlanc butting heads for too long. Matt just seems like he's way too chill for that.

Will dl too, but after watching leblanc on the graham norton show, I like the guy again. His co host created that drama before the show aired. Whether that was for publicity or not, his overall aura is just douchey.

I don't think Chris Evans is very well known in the US, and I know who he is only because he was on Top Gear, but it seems like a lot of people don't like him. So I guess it's not really surprising that he comes off as a douche.

Totally forgot about new Top Gear. I'll have to download it and watch it later. I don't want to judge it too harshly based on the first episode though. If you go back to episode 1, season 1 of the previous Top Gear, it really wasn't very impressive. Then again, TG US has been on for several years now and it's still fucking terrible. We'll see.

Harris is annoying, he's trying too hard to be Clarkson's stand-in... just do your own thing.

I think LeBlanc could generate a good dynamic with the proper co-host. Chris Evans doesn't seem to be that co-host as of right now. Another thing I noticed is that all of the voice over scripts seem so forced. I bet the gang's journalism background aided with making theirs much more natural and honest.

So far I'm unimpressed. I'll keep checking it out, though. Hopefully it will hold me over until The Grand Tour lol.
