Yeah seriously. Sitting on your ass in front of the computer screen and moving your fingers around can be tough work. I think im gonna go take a breather, brb. -
One time when I used to work at a cardboard box factory I had a pneumatic stapler punch a 1 1/2 inch staple straight through my finger bone and all..
Happened so fast I never felt it go in.. though having ER Dr. pry it out was no fun... I got 3 days off and a bottle of vicodin..
I still have the staple if anyone wants to see that bloody bastid.

We don't wear hardhats. There's only one section of the plant where there's any overhead danger, which is the section where they set the roof onto the home. Since everyone is cleared out of the home while the roof is being lowered, there's no reason for hardhats. What happened to me was simply a 2x6 was left up on the roof, and got caught on the scaffolding as we were moving the house, and got pushed off.Comment

I'm in the same boat as you. Don't let 'em "buddy buddy" you into not letting it be a L & I claim. You never know the long term effects. I love my job and the people I work with, but I blew a disc in my back - I filed to protect my own ass.
And I got the L & I Vicodin too. Free vicodin FTW +1 !
Glad you're OK.
It's not how you handle the good times, but the faith you keep in the bad that defines you.Comment

That sucks. I guess that's why they always make us wear hard hats at work if anything is being worked on that's greater than 6 feet above the ground. But I usually tell them its a retarded rule.Comment

This seems like the very reason you all should be wearing hard hats. Not going to lie but you could sue and have it be justified. But then youd be somewhat scummy.Back to my roots
