Dangg, some sweeping generalizations and a bunch of assumptions in here lmao.
First and foremost, I want to just say, I was on this ride. I am the biker that stupidly jumped in front of the car after impact to make sure he pulled over and didn't try to run.
Secondly, no one ever touched the car. The rev and pass was the only action initiated. I know everyone is automatically assuming the rider MUST have done something first, but the point of this video was to prove that in accidents like these, it isnt always the bike's fault. You guys all know very well that asshole drivers exist. You'd be hardpressed to find someone that's driven for any amount of time that hasnt encountered one
And lastly, to address some of the posts in here,
You're right, the reaction from both parties was less than ideal. No question there. However, Let me clarify the situation since there seems to be some vagueness going on. We left the gas station to get on the freeway. This car had been two lanes over in the leftmost lane when he decided he needed to make the onramp. Rather than slow down for a half a second (Camera bike was the second to last bike in the formation), he decided to speed up and when he ran out of room, veer across both lanes to cut in front of the camera bike to make his turn. The gopro FOV skews depth field but the reality is, that car was within 3 feet of the camera bike who had been forced to slam his brakes to avoid a collision. The bikes behind the car then revved which is a really common alternative to using their horns which might as well be nonexistant on a bike.lots of douche baggy going on both sides of that one. Car is bigger car wins, why go about trying to piss people off, to get people to try and run you over on the highway, and why not just let the bikes go why do you have to try and get even, punt a guy off his bike and nearly mash another car in the process..
Fucking Idiots all the way round
Cagers, cage and related words aren't always used in a derogatory manner. In fact, most motorcyclists nowadays use it to refer to cars in general. "i'm caging it today" for example is used quite often.Cagers, lol. Don't try to defend your point and then use derogatory terms for car drivers on a car forum.
I'm also not convinced he wanted to knock anyone off their bike since he immediately pulled over afterwards. I think he wanted to drive exactly like they were driving and didn't realize he's 10x the size.
Also, this wasn't a driver that was just trying to get by. He specifically chased down the last bike to pass him and then veered into him. It was not an accident. This footage was given to authorities and a case is pending regarding the incident.
I'm not going to automatically side with motorcyclists and argue with you. Because the fact of the matter is, I know exactly what you're talking about, those bikers definitely do exist. However, when my club goes on rides, we make sure our formation remains staggered but in 1 lane at all times. This is something we enforce strictly, specifically to avoid altercations with other vehicles.I'm talking about formations of idiot kids riding their bikes in a manner that either 1) dangerously obstructs the flow of traffic, and/or 2) causes other motorists to have to evade them to avoid an accident.
What a lot of people don't realize is this. Like any other group, although the majority are respectful and law abiding, it is the few unruly that draw negative attention and ruin it for everyone. You're driving down the road and get cut off by 5 riders doing dumb shit on the road. Goddamn bikers right? but do you think those 5 are representative of everyone on a motorcycle? Even if it was 10. Even if it was 50. For every stupid biker you see, there are 100 riders that abide by the law. But you wont ever see those, because no one ever notices someone doing what they're supposed to be doing.
There are no delusions about riding a bike. Every rider with even half a brain knows, a careless biker, is a dead biker. Those riders with a stupid sense of invincibility are looked down upon by the rest of the community. And they don't last long for one reason or anotherComment

First question, and I am asking, not assuming…….did the bikers in question speed up to not let him safely get over? Everyone has seen this happen before with cars, and bikes can accelerate that much more quickly. While I'm not a fan of reactive driving and line cutting, in some cases, this is completely unwarranted and a true asshole move. Again, just asking, not saying they did it. It is more a question to think about when we ponder who started things, than a question that needs answering on the internet. This car had been two lanes over in the leftmost lane when he decided he needed to make the onramp. Completely agree, and if it makes you feel better, I don't see bikers in general in this way. But I have run across enough assholes to know that they are out there, and when a video like this comes to light, I won't lie that those memories are the first thing that come to mind (right or wrong). It isn't fair, but it is what it is, and life and people's perceptions often aren't fair either.I'm not going to automatically side with motorcyclists and argue with you.
