    Smartphone...BIMMERIZED!

I just got a Verizon V6700 Smartphone and I love it.
1.3 megapixel camera, built-in keyboard...Wi-Fi, bluetooth, voice command, Pocket Office, e-mail, internet ANYWHERE....MP3 player...it's got it all. I got the GPS expansion that fits in the memory port, which includes voice navigation.
I also found an e30 theme for it online and I installed it.

I didn't like the Q because it was too fragile for the way I like to live, and I hate Palm stuff so that was out. It's really tough.

(If you look closely that's an e30 background in the start menu)

    And the bluetooth earpiece.

I found a program called ORB that lets you access the data on your PC from ANYWHERE in the world, so now I can have up to 180 gig of MP3s or movies too. There's also a program called BlueTune that lets you play MP3s over the bluetooth earpiece. It's pretty cool.

It's not phone specific, it works on anything that has a web-browser like Internet Explorer.

It's not so much uploading as having access to it, but it might be possible to move the files, I haven't played around with it that much yet.

I just like the idea of watchin' movies, listening to music and looking at pics in class. Heh.

I have the 2.10 firmware, I ran it with the old 1.whatever and it sucked...no voice command, so bluetooth wasn't fully supported, and no support for Wi-Fi and bluetooth at the same time. Plus it wanted to default to the cell line when using internet explorer so people kept running up $10,000 bills from the bandwidth if they didn't get the data plan.

Ducati...what's not to like? I basically ignore it from a cell standpoint and just use bluetooth all the time to make calls, because it's awkward to use the little buttons on the screen to make calls. It would suck w/o bluetooth tho.

The only thing I DON'T like is that the contacts list REFUSES to transfer to the speed dial list in my new car. It only moves the favorites and last numbers dialed over. BMW blames the phone, Verizon says BMW's bluetooth capability sucks, and the service manager says there'll be a car software upgrade, so whatever. Better than using the crappy phone that came with the car.
