Experian trying to generate income from their hack

    Fuck you Experian!!!

They were hacked, they are not taking action to the contrary they are trying to turn it into a revenue generating event by soliciting identity lock services.

Link in their email I got.

Also, a few days after the hack, before it was reported several of their top execs sold off a ton of their stock.

    WTF???

          ooops?

You are right though, Equifax delayed in telling the public until after stock sell off.

I much prefer the in your face of blue collar crime to the slimy behind your back corporate reaming of white collar crime.

As a young person I had a job as a helper/apprentice riding with another guy who stopped at B of A to cash his paycheck. He had an account there but it was also a B of A issued check. I cashed mine while I was there and opened account to avoid fee. Seemed silly that they could charge a fee for cashing a check issued from their bank but whatever.

After getting job with different contractor, different transport situation, I went to close bank account only to find fee for closing account. More frustration at but again what can you do? I decided to withdraw all but small amount and let bank eat up remaining amount until it was gone with service fees. It was less money than just closing account would have cost me and it cost the bank as well, they actually had to print and mail statement quarterly.

Eventually (years went by) I received without asking for it a check and letter explaining B of A had been convicted in class action of illegal business practices. I cashed check but saved stub and letter. My "B" retirement plan is to rob banks, B of A exclusively and hope for a sympathetic juror if I get caught. After all they stole from me first and I have proof!

Yeah they pretty much said fuck you consumer. Until our elected officials stop taking hand outs from the private side crap like this will continue.

Credit Monitoring does shit. Companies that have this level of trust with our PII Personal Information & Identity should be held to higher standards Bit tired of the shrugging of the shoulders and saying "Oh Well" not my fault..
