I forgot to mention, his car has a bad 2nd gear syncro. He shifted out of 1st at 5500 rpm's, which seriously hindered his times. I suspect that if he would have buzzed it 7200 in 1st, he would have been in the low 9's.

I realy wish we had a 1/4 mile track close by, I'd like to be able to stretch out 4th gear. This 1/8 mile, you can have very little horsepower but if you get a good launch, you'll almost inevitably get a good time.

Aaron, that's a good time. You must have gotten a hell of a launch; what did the car weigh? 4.10 rear gear?
Aaron has my old stock i motor...not even a chip. 3.73 LSD. No PS. My old euro car weighed 2480 w/ A/C so I'm guessing Aaron is 50+ lbs lighter.

    I'm hoping for high 8's out of a 3 liter M20. The 2.7 your Dad built for Tony now has a thick headgasket....9.9:1, 284/272 and is running 9.2's @ 77 mph in a US 87 325iS w/ 3.73 LSD. Weighs in right @ 2600 lbs w/o driver and spare. My hot-rod ETA is traping right @ 72 mph w/ 3.25 peg leg.
