Lucas was known as "the Prince of Darkness"

I owned a Triumph TR250 at one time, Electrics by Lucas. I started the car one day and smoke started coming out from under the hood. Opened the hood and saw a wire had shorted apparently and burned out the entire length of the wiring harness. I could never discover anything on the car that was not working as it should after that LOL.

Yikes! Looks like a post 98 engine? Assuming an e39 540i? That what most every e30 that I buy looks like when I first get them. Lots of un-fucking to do.

Yeah, its an m62tub44 in an x5 i bought a few months back. The POs mechanic, or the PO himself stripped every nut and bolt that wasn't a 10mm.....

Took the e30 for a drive last night and when I came home I heard my dash cracking.... I looked down and I saw the crack growing.... I've never felt so helpless..

found a brand new 6D with a 24-106 f4 L for$1500 so I think I might be pulling the trigger on that soon.

Time for new chains, guides and tensioners. Also, pulling the oil pump to see if it sucked up any pieces of the broken guides...



The front of this engine is a massive cluster fuck.
