fantastic shot! what sort of enhancement did you use?
Thanks! Mainly bringing up the shadows and exposure of the darker areas and bringing down the highlights in the sky to bring the clouds out a bit more. It was a very colorful sunset and the clouds were just right that evening. The next evening had zero clouds, so I was glad I took the time to get this shot in the middle of drinking, eating and napping. This shot was taken from the top deck of the boat.
Shot this one a few days ago. It's my uncles Golf mk1 GTI (series 1).
110HP and weighing 800kg makes it a blast to drive on the small windy roads here in the Flemish Ardennes.

Yea, that's one of the biggest costs is the transaxle - more then than the motor in some cases. Some guys use a Porsche unit, others an Audi TT box, and I think there is a super rare ford GT box(the new one) you can sometimes find. There is a Subaru unit that will work, but not rated for much ommph - so no one uses it. You could, but they would be kinda of disposable if you push more then 300HP to it. Keep in mind the curb weight is 2200 IIRC. The "SLC" is "super light coupe" - the RCR is "Race car replicas". Although this is kinda of a mixture of CamAm and bubble cockpit cars of the 80's 90's. 300 HP makes it a rocket, 400 makes it a a super car, and 500 makes it an organ donor.

Yeah I am curios as to what engine/transaxle combos will fit besides the obvious LS series. If I was going to build a racecar I'd want something higher revving than a max of 7k...I'm thinking along the lines of s85 [emoji23]
You can fit about anything in it. s85? Ask and you shall receive:
Someone else fitted a BMW v12. IIRC he working on a dual turbo for it. Another company fitted a super efficient diesel(1.8l VW turbodiesel), and drove across the US on one tank of gas. LA to NYC - they claimed they did it on special gas. http://nestekampanja.fi/across/

That's the "street" tail. You can order either.
Here's a good video - a nice introduction.
I personally was dreaming of building one of these. But, honestly, I need to spend more money on my house and other things. Adult stuff. A speedster replica is way more in the budget these days.
