The swastika with a white and red background is absolutely a Nazi symbol and nothing else. Same as the Algiz rune where as the regular Algiz rune is just a rune and has nothing to do with racism... Unfortunate. Many symbols with the white and red background are used to denote National Socialism.

Regardless of whatever significance the swastika used to mean in different religions and cultures, it is know associated with the majority of the modern world as a symbol of Nazi power.
Show someone a picture of a swastika and I'll guarantee you all of them say it's from the Nazis, and although that is incorrect, the way the symbol is now viewed is forever changed. Simple as that.
