You do know that is an old Native American, along with many other historical cultures used symbol. It's like assuming someone stole the smile face from Watchmen.

Regardless of whatever significance the swastika used to mean in different religions and cultures, it is know associated with the majority of the modern world as a symbol of Nazi power.

Show someone a picture of a swastika and I'll guarantee you all of them say it's from the Nazis, and although that is incorrect, the way the symbol is now viewed is forever changed. Simple as that.
