VW is running pretty much unchecked in the modern turbo-diesel arena, and doing very well. You might wanna lose the blinders.

Blinders? In our market, the BMW diesel is the dominant player - Merc / VAG have been destroyed downunder by the BMW diesel.

We get offered every single BMW diesel model they make - to suggest I'm blinkered is just wrong. What I AM saying however, is that there is no way an overpriced diesel hatch with some tacky options would sell in the US. Reading Is Fundamental.
