^that's amazing. I love how elegant doing the electric motors are, vs some crazy gearbox that would always be exploding.

^ I know, I never had a full appreciation for locomotives until I started learning how to service them.


Here's the middle of a wheel change out a few days ago on a cab car. Didn't turn out as nice as I'd hoped, but oh well. The first time I did this I almost shit my pants. It just doesn't feel right lifting something this heavy 4 feet into the air.
