It is my intention to ‘set the record straight’ with the online BMW community. I have been the subject of attacks and defamatory and slanderous remarks when I was in no position to defend myself. Allow me to outline what has transpired from my point of view thus far.
In late June I was supposed to pick up a 2000 740iL on a Thursday. Jim Warren was supposed to give me a ride, but he never called, as was wont to do, so my fiancé offered to take me to New Jersey to pick up the car. The proceeding Wednesday evening my fiancé and I were involved in a car accident in which the wheel mysteriously ‘fell off’ of her car. Oddly the wheel cap was in place yet several lugs were missing. The last time the wheel had been serviced was over a month prior at a BMW dealership. We were quite rattled by the accident, so we called the BMW dealership and told them that we were unable to take delivery of the car. We then decided that in light of events, we should get away for a little while. So, we decided to take a trip to Italy and Croatia, as my aunt Silica was already headed there and we’d put off a trip to Europe earlier in the summer due to health concerns both with myself and with my father. We had a wonderful time, but upon my return I discovered ‘a mess’. I found that someone had attempted to break into my home. My friend Austin was working on his car in my garage (as I had given him permission to do) when he heard some noise. When he looked to see what the noise was, he saw a black e36 M3 convertible on the road and someone trying to Jimmy my front door. He hid in the garage and summoned the police but unfortunately they arrived too late to be of any assistance.
I then discovered that I was supposed to be ‘dead’ and that my website was offline. I further discovered that Jim Warren, Vince Esser, and possibly several other people had been feeding misinformation to the online community regarding my circumstances.
My BMWCCA membership had also been suspended without any attempt at contacting me, in fact, there was no attempt by anyone involved to verify the veractiy of events. No phone calls, no e-mails, no nothing.
Hear is the ‘Jim Warren’ version of the story:
I couldn’t afford the 740iL despite the fact that it was financed. So I ‘faked my own death’ to get out of the situation. According to Jim, I have no real girlfriend, her family doesn’t exist, and neither do my friends, one of whom was apparently real enough to call the police on him or his father. Further, I don’t actually own ANY BMWs, my dad owns a shop and I just drive the client’s cars around and that’s how I came to know about them. Also, I fix people’s computers and for some unforeseeable reason download pornography onto them.
I have long had a history of difficulty with both Jim Warren and Vince Esser. Despite spending hundreds (if not thousands) of dollars procuring tools, making travel arrangements, and buying parts for both of these people, despite spending scores of hours working on their cars, they have seen fit to not only vandalize my property but also to make slanderous remarks when I was in no position to defend myself.
Those two children have been engaged in a sophomoric and immature game trying to play people off against each other to gain popularity and I was unfortunate enough not to realize what was going on in time. Over the past two years:
-My coolant lines have been cut
-The tires of my and my roommates’’ car have been slashed –-The side of my car has been spray painted
-The lugs on my fiancé’s car have been loosened.
-My website has been hacked
-My AIM screenname password and forum passwords have been compromised.
-Defamatory remarks have been spread about me.
-My BMWCCA membership had been suspended without the knowlege of BMW CCA national, therefore, illegaly.
As for evidence, I can produce tickets, pictures, receipts, voice and video recordings, e-mails, chat conversations, police reports, signed affidavits and witnesses.
I am currently considering legal action against all of the aforementioned parties and any accessories to these incidents.
I will not be insulted, and I will not stand for gross vandalism.
The next incident that occurs will be dealt with swiftly and without prejudice.
I choose to air these comments in an open forum because I believe that in the end, truth ALWAYS comes to the forefront.
