    I really miss this car...

***WARNING: E36 M3 CONTENT IN THIS THREAD***
(If you dont like E36 M3's, please click the back button)

I've been thinking about this car a lot lately. When I sold it 2 years ago, I was knee deep in my E30/S50 project and hadnt driven the M3 in months. I ended up selling it to a guy out of Cincinnati that I thought was an enthusiast. I was wrong and he flipped it a couple of months later. Lately, I've been seeing parts from the supercharger pop up here and there for sale so I know that the car is no longer what it was and that really bothers me. Subsequently, I've been looking for an E36 M3 lately and havent really found anything that catches my eye. I guess I set the bar kind of high with my last one.

Anyway, I saw the thread in the members rides section about the guy with the E30 and the E36 M3 that are the same colors that I owned at one point. Thought I would share some pics of my old M and take a stroll down memory lane.

By the way, I ended up buying another E30. I'm flying out to pick it up this weekend. :pimp:

Here's what she looked like the day I arrived home from driving back from Sarasota.

Here's my 97 that I replaced with the Dakar.

Spent the winter in the garage getting the supercharger and suspension swapped.

    Brake upgrade from the 996TT

Interior with AFR meter, shift light, and spray light for the methanol/water injection.

Right after she got her new shoes. Kinesis SuperCups 18x8/18x9

It was a Dinan 15 point car after I was done. I contacted Dinan about having the car classified as a Signature car. They stated that I could do that if I bought their suspension package. I said "Thanks, but no thanks..."

    Random pics

How she looked most of the time after I started the E30.

Last picture I took of her.

Dinan/Vortech supercharged at 11psi, RMS 8 rib pullies, AA Custom tune, Aquamist Methanol/water injection making 321rwhp. Fastest car I have owned to date. You could hardly tell it was blown with the V2-SQ. The power curve in this car made you feel like you were driving a V8.

That's funny you bought that car in Sarasota. I wonder if I knew the old owner. I knew of a couple of dakar M's.

Great looking car. It's sad to hear someone fucked it up. Anyways, get another and make Dakar II. By the way, love the black wheels on the car.

Thanks guys, the new E30 is in Chicago and what a surprise, its Alpine white...

Dave, If I knew the car was still there, I'd take you up on that.

TJ, the original owner was the BMWCCA chapter president in the late 90's. Any idea?

Mariano, dont worry, I wont tell...

Matt and e9nine, not sure yet. 5 lug swap for sure over the winter and then maybe a turbo, maybe another swap, not sure...

The E30? Yeah, big mistake on my part selling it to that guy. Thankfully, its now in the hands of an enthusiast and is using it the way it was intended.

Here he is at Road America last month:

                            WTF wing?

Oh well, its being used to its full potential, I guess. Am I missing more to the E30 story? What happened to it? Or are we speaking about the E36?
