BTW, your behaviour on Ebay, while it pisses me off, won't get you banned from here.
I learned that just because I want something but can't afford it doesn't mean I can play around on ebay as if I could afford it, playing mind games as if to test the limits of how much other bidders would potentially spend on something. I gotta just stop and say, "wtf am i doing?" Also learned that this truly pisses people off. I figured you guys would just laugh at how naive I was, but I've received nothing but chastisement, certainly a reality check. Now I got take some heat from the seller...

Cool then, lesson learned. It takes balls to own up to a mistake, so in the end, in my eyes at least, you've earned at least a little of my respect.

I hope it will all work out for you.

So I looked at the bid history, and if you are the winning bidder, then you would be what Ebay is referring to as 'Bidder 12' - what the heck? You didn't win by a penny, you beat the other guy by $50. And you bid at least 5 times in my quck scan down the list. You're either just immature (as already admitted) for bidding up stuff you don't intend to buy, or a liar as the winning bidder beat the next guy by $50.

Apoligies if I'm reading the auction history wrong, otherwise I stand by what I say if I am reading things right.

Remind me never to buy anything from this guy if this is how he acts on Ebay.

It's not how you handle the good times, but the faith you keep in the bad that defines you.

He admitted his wrong and he owned up to it which takes guts. Live and let live.

my last bid was a typo. I read $3526.03 as $3576.03. As I said, I thought it amusing to bid it up just one more cent just before it ends, but because I read it wrong I bid it as $3576.04, not up $.01, but up $50.01, and now here I am paying for my mischievousness. Thus the title of the thread, self-ownage, which I realize that other insulting words could be added to. But please know that i'm not some diabolic person who purposely raises bids so other people have to pay more, that's not me. It was my lack of self-control.

This whole predicament was just a huge reality check. it's like, whoa. Reminded me I am still human. Just picture me in this computer lab of like 50 people quietly working, and me suddenly exclaiming "Oh shit!"

                /thread.
