Finally found the rave about beer.

I could never understand how people could actually like that shit, but a friend of mine wanted a 6 pack while we worked on my car, i agreed and decided to pick something still cheap, but foreign since i heard American beer sucks. I spotted Warsteiner for $4.90 and gave it a shot (didn't know it sponsored BMW until the next day when i Google searched it :P). I popped it open and i was impressed with how much better it tasted than anything else i'd tried.

I poured a glass for my mom (yeah, i'm 21 and still living with my mom) and she agreed it was pretty good, the next day she went out and bought some Guinness (Draught) for me to try since i was starting to like beer. She said "Here, your dad really liked this when he was in Ireland, try it". I opened a bottle and this shit was delicious! Tastes alot like mocha cappuiccino.

lol welcome to the club bro. Im 21 in a couple months and I cant wait as Portland has the highest amount of brewieries per capita in the entire usa and tied with many cities in the world.

we have 33 breweries in downtown portland alone, with another 10-20 in all of Oregon.

I'm with you. I used to hate the taste of beer, and wondered how people could drink it.

It's different once you try good beer.
I was in Germany for a week over the summer, and found out how delicious Hefe Weissen is.

I'm addicted to Cascade Lakes Brewery's (local brewery) Blonde Bombshell.

If you can find it, try it. It's fucking awesome.

Correction, Tom. Portland has the most microbreweries of any city in the entire world. We passed up Cologne, Germany a year or so ago.

That being said, I still pretty much drink Deschuttes exclusively.

Most people hate beer in the begining, and grow to love it. [Myself included]

Yes, I love Guinness. Also try a Belgian lager called Stella Artois. That's pretty good too.

I still haven't grown to like it. Have had Heineken, Corona and Desperados.
Desperados even has a tangy taste to it.

My picks this week included the ordinary shit along with:

                      Budweiser Budvar (Czech)
                      Sol (Mexican)

Budvar is pretty interesting, mostly because its Czech and claims to be the real Bud. Sol is nuts, someone spilled coffee in that brew - definitely worth a try for the adventurous.

I don't know about the other two, but Corona is nasty.
