i got one friday morning and it looks like theres not gonna be too muh profit on them. Ebay is flooded and they are all going for around 1200. My buddies and I got 3 so we might hold onto one of them until christmas.

$5 says you open this thing and play it before you get it on the Bay.

I think the buzz is over - if somebody **really** wanted one, they bid already, but maybe there will be a resurgence in price like Dec. 20th if Sony doesn't release too many more.
I bet Sony could have made more, just like MS could have made more too, but all the free publicity and the perceived scarceness fuels sales.

So lame, I COULDNT camp like I wanted to soo bad. The release date ended up to be on a lame ass field trip I had to take 2 hours away from home for school. So I wouldnt be in town to camp....

i agree on the fact anyone paying that kind of money is a tool but id bet 90% of the people camping out for them are flipping them to other tools who cant get off work or dont have the inclination to sleep outside a store for 2 days to make a few grand.

By next christmas, I'll buy one when the price drops to about $300 or so, and the price of games drops by about $20, all the Joneses who camped out in front of Wal-Mart for 3 days will feel like idiots for paying twice what I paid and freezing their asses off with the rest of the guys with no girlfriends.

Some of those Joneses made alot of money, $6700 bones (before system cost) like blunt's kid. Had I of known what they were going to do then I would of done the same. Easy money + payed vacation ftw.

The only really good reason there is that there usually is something wrong with the hardware.

Dude, I pay well over 150 bucks a year for cable. So having that kind of entertainment for a year over your PS3 is worth 150 dollars if you enjoy video games.

Some people are really in video games and are willing to drop a lot of cash in them. You are really into e30s and drop an equal if not greater amount of cash into it that would not be spent otherwise.

If you have ever been a big fan of anything, then you get what the point is.

The number one reason people lose their minds and spend thousands of dollars on this shit when it comes out? So they can tell everyone they got one. i highly doubt it. im pretty sure anyone that wants a wii will be able to walk into any store that would sell them whenever they feel like it and buy one. the supply is supposed to be huge. most of the places around here are getting 100+

my son and his girlfriend camped out and got 3. some dude they know came along and purchased the third with my sons money. he had all 3 sold in 2 hours locally. 2 for 2500 and one for 1700 . im glad to see the sanford and son blood was passed along to him

College "field trips" FTL, they are soooo boring. Normally I just skip and do the makeup work to get a B on it, but this was a huge all day thing so I didnt think I should risk it.

If I was smart at the time, I should just called in and said I would be there just an hour late or so, easily would have gone over fine with my teacher.

6 friends and i camped out infron of a best buy since tus afternoon!! and the reason is simple...my ebay auction ended today for 3850 two of my friends above 4600, others idk but one got unlucky and made 3250... none of us still own one.

+ we played soccer, drank beer and fucked around with another 40ppl (only 34 came to our best buy!!) for 3days = priceless.

i'll just get one 4months from now lol...i'm not like those fanatics willing to pay (saw an auction for 5100!!). maybe they export to south american countries and make a lot of money...go to venezuela with 3-4 ipods, sell them to a computer store and you'll finance the entire trip including alcohol, plane ticket, hotel and still have left over!
