That had nothing to do with it, just trying to clear out the crap, is all.
It was because it was yet another thread discussing the reason why people can't post threads to ebay auctions, not needed.
Whoever posted the link about the thread I made with ugly E30's didn't other me. I could really care less if some tool on the internet is getting off because he pwned me. In fact, here it is:

Isn't it claerly stated that there are to be no posts regarding ebay auctions?
I don't see why it would be a big deal to delete it.
I don't see it stated that your opinion of a reiger kit on an e30 is off limits....
I dont think Eurospeed is the one with his panties in a bunch this time.
May as well clear this post as well man.Yours truly,
Rich

Josh, I'm going to have to agree with Teague and Biscus on this one, you've been overly and too visibly moderating lately. As a matter of fact I get the impression that you are the only one that moderates the site when I am around. I know there are other people that are mods but besides Matt and James I actually couldn't name another mod off the top of my head.

You're saying that I am being too out in the open about moderating the site? And what I should be doing is doing it more behind the scenes, and doing things so people don't know who it is that did it? And that it's a problem that when YOU'RE around, I do to much moderating out in the open, and the other mods don't do anything?
Well, correct me if I'm wrong here, but last I checked, it was James, Matt and myself that pay to keep this site hosted and kept running, not everyone else. The 3 of us do. We don't charge membership fees to keep this site going. People are allowed to come here for free, and enjoy the site because the 3 of us love this place enough to shell out the scratch to keep it going. We don't ask for anything in return, and beyond that, we run the site according the the simple guidelines that we've decided on. But it appears that especially lately, that's getting to be too much to ask. And suddenly, I'm called out as "Emo - the Overbearing Forum Mommy" because I've been getting serious about closing threads that go against a forum rule so absurdly simple that a 12 year old could follow it. Or because I get pissed at someone because they can't muster up the single ounce of courtesy and set aside the 5 seconds it takes to answer someone's simple question, because they've decided that they're too much better than everyone else to stoop down to their level and spell it out for them, it's easier to just post the "SEARCH" emoticon and spout of a sarcastic little quip, so they can get back to jerking off to late-80's DTM footage.
Well, I've got just one thing to say to that, excuse the FUCK out of me. I'm not worried about getting called emo about this shit anymore because anytime I do stick up for myself or anyone else, out comes the emo-slingshot, and I'm dead in the line of fire. I had kind of thought that shit had gone away with Heeter, but now the next in line have picked up the torch. I'm already well aware of the fact that everyone and their grandmother is going to jump into this thread calling me a bleeding vag, emo, a whining bitch, that I have sand in my waffleswaffleswaffleswaffleswaffles, whatever. Don't care. It's become ever so apparent that the way we do things, or more to a point, the way I do things rubs just too many people's sensitive little nipples the wrong way. So I'm just going to lay off, and you guys can post all the ebay auctions and threads making fun of people's cars you want. James and Matt, along with the rest of the "invisible" mods can take care of it, and I'll just keep tossing in my $100 of the hosting fees every 3rd month, so you guys can have a place to come and talk trash from behind the safety of your keyboards, rattling off line after line of the kind of shit you'd never have the stones to say to someone if they were standing right in front of you, or god forbid, your E30.Last edited by Jand3rson; 12-07-2006, 01:00 AM.

Ignore it all. There could be no mods and peole would still complain. That's just the way it is when you are a mod. Igore it and do as the owner wants.Your signature picture has been removed since it contained the Photobucket "upgrade your account" image.

What is the reasoning behind not allowing eBay auction links? I see no harm and i actually enjoy seeing unusual and interesting eBay auctions. I also enjoy seeing how ugly people can make e30s and those threads get locked as well, like the one i started. :P
Nothing wrong with rules and guidelines, but i feel a member's opinion on the lighter rules like these two should have an impact on if they stay or not.
I'd focus more on things like no fowl language, no pornographic or inappropreate for younger audience material. It's not an issue for me really, but i'm sure alot of parents are on this forum and from what i've seen i'd feel uncomfortable browsing this site with a kid in the room. BMWs are more of an older group of car enthusasts, i've met quite a few guys over 50 into these cars and the more old fashion people come from a different era than people under 50ish and tend to be more "proper".
Just my two cents. *shrug*
