Yeah it takes a bit of getting used to.

If I turn the car off without putting the e-brake up fist it wont remote start.

Also I found this is how I normally shut the car down: stop (hold my foot on the brake), pull the e-brake, take the key out, take my foot off the brake.

Which now does not work in the remote start since I trip the brake pedal switch to disable it.

Now I have to: stop (foot on brake), pull the e-brake, take my foot off, pull the key, then get out.

Kinda annoying, but I will get used to it.

What's there to bypass? The reason most remote starts aren't for manual because most newer cars won't start without the clutch depressed. E30s do just fine without the clutch in...

Is that why you never sent me a reciept?
        haha :)

With the car in gear? I don't know about yours, but mine tries to drive when I start it in gear without the clutch in. That's what I was getting at, if he had it so it started with it in gear, no clutch.

Ohh, I see. I assumed you would remember to park it in neutral... I guess you'll have to wait for Luke's response about the "leave in gear-non start" thing...

That would probably be a hard habit for me to break. But I might have to start trying, I would like to have remote start.

Well sure, but how long have you been in the habit of parking in gear before you tried to switch?

sounds like you bought a compustar? i have the 2WSS

its a fool proof system, albeit it is a bit of the pain in the ass to put the car into "reservation mode"

                      great system though...

Hmm, you have some good trust ;) I wouldn't trust one with my keys...

Just chain a midget into your glove box, make them do it, and they cant run! Our glove boxes are easily big enough :)
