Today I was at the BMW dealer in my area and as I was pulling in I noticed a car hauler full of new M Coupes. I was like holy shit, those things are so nice. Then I noticed the truck driver unloading them. Then I heard him trying to drive manual (excessive riding of clutch, and I mean excessive). Then I began laughing. So I park my car and get out to the fresh aroma of fried clutch. It was like 100 ft from where the cars were parked and the smell was still that strong. I went inside and came out like 20 minutes later to the smell still being just as strong. So if you live in the southeastern PA area and plan on buying a new M Coupe, please do not go to Faulkner BMW. Also, awhile back I went there to pick up a part I ordered, and there was a new 645 sitting on cement blocks with the wheels off, like there was jack-point to block action going on... that place never ceases to amaze me.

I once took a Getrag 260 there (Faulkner) to have a mechanic check out a shifting issue. I took it there in my trunk, and when he brought it out of the garage, he opened my back door and threw it on my mint leather rear seat. I was too far away, and was not paying attention, so I didn't catch him in time. I asked him "do you think that's good on my leather seats?" He acted like it didn't matter. There was no damage so I wasn't to conecerned, but I never went back there for anything other then to order parts.

When I did my five speed swap, I had to explain to them how to find parts I needed on the ETK. They didn't know what sections to look in, even for some fairly obvious parts. Now I just bring my own printouts so neither of us have to waste our time, they just punch the part numbers into their ordering program.
When I ordered my Z4 shifter they asked me what year, so I told them it's actually for an e30, and someone attempted to tell me it won't work.
I can't say all bad things though. They got to know me by name and give me a 10% discount on all of my parts now, even without the BMWCCA (although I did recently join).
Yo jhower can you check on the cost to rebuild a m20b25 head from Krimes? No parts, just labor. I will supply all the parts, I just need the cleaning and valve seal replacing done, and reassembly if it's not much more $$$. You are related to those guys or something right? All they should need to know is that it's a BMW SOHC 12v head. How much did Tye pay for the s52 head?
I'm going through 1 quart every 500 miles now and need to get that engine going or I'm not gonna make it through the 2007 racing season haha. I'll get booted from every event for oiling the course.
