Totally rigged. That part from the lighter use a Piezio Electronic Ignitier. Its purpose is to provide a momentary spark so that the butane gas in a lighter can be ignited and stay lit as long as a steady stream of gas is present.

The way this is rigged is to drill a hole in the table that the power strip is placed on. Then drill a hole in the bottom of the power strip. Now run an exernal wire that has a 120 V plug on the end up through the table and into the hole in the bottom of the power strip. Wire the external wire to the location that the wiring used that it came with. Then just plug the external 120 plug into an outlet with a switch. Click your Piezio element and when you do flip the switch off camera to make the power strip energized. Plug shit in to demonstrate that the power strip has power. Act like you have discovered something.

Or for that matter use welding gases in a potato gun. I watched someone do that once, after I repeatedly warned them that it was a retarded idea.

Sometimes telling someone "less fuel, not more oxidizer or you're gonna blow yourself up" just doesn't get the job done - you have to let them pull a challenger.
