There's not much to mess up on the e30 kit. It's a really simple kit!

I started my rothmans 956. This is all the spray paint i need just for the body and chassis.. It will take me tonight and tomorrow to do the chassis forsure with all the colors needing 1-2 hours dry time and 2-3 coats

4 colors, 1 can of primer and 1 can of clear. One complex paint job.Comment

Started on the 956. Ive got the chassis and body painted for the most part.

Ive got some blue to touch up the cockpit and then I will be able to clear themComment

Touched up the blue and got the clear put down. Time to go get drunk for the new year :)

What're you uusing to mask off btw? I found cut up vinyl (stickers) work really well and are usually pliable enough to easily mold to curves and bends and suchComment

Thanks! It's a fun model for sure. Not many parts thought just a lot of parts need painted 2-3 different colors and mixing colors is needed too.
I used Tamiya 1/4 inch masking tape in some spots and then used regular 3m edge lock tape from Home Depot. It worked amazing just had to make some relief cuts to get it to form on the curves and then fill any gaps. It wasn't easy to mask the windshield/door area and the tape lifted on me cause I didn't secure it and shot blue on it so had to fix it.Comment

I've been working on this Mercedes 560 with a Zender body kit.

Also dug this model out of the garage and polished it up and laid some Bare Metal Foil over the painted trim I did when I built it around 16 years ago.

I like the merc.
That other car really cleaned up. How do you do the foil for trim?
I got a buddy that works at hobby store and ordered this from Tamiya for me. Should get it in few weeks
