Looks pretty bad ass. Lets hope it makes calls well, and isn't just a glorified iPod.

I didnt know the details really and just heard about it today actually from my mom of all people. Seems like this would be a big ticket item and to release it just 2 weeks after the holidays seems like poor planning on their part.

Same OS, although if you are talking about the Blackjack thats Windows Smart phone, which is a non touchscreen operating system. the actual Cingular Pocket PC is a full fledged PDA with a phone in it.

I personally use a PPC6700 on Sprint/EVDO for biz

My schedule has bassically made it a big priority to have mobile internet. I'm thinkin this could be the way to go given my cingular service.

I use a dechipped FOMA SH903i. Hell my fone even has a program
similar to Lo-Jack for cars. If lost, it will immediatly lock my smart
card and personal data, then hotlink it's location to the closest
police station. Accurate to 25mm. Hell, my fone even plays PS2
games, Streams content to/from my pc in japan while I'm in America,
and acts as a guidance system detonation device for defunct russian
nuclear missiles! okay not the last on but, I'm sure the Japanese are
hard at work on it, lol.

my 6700 is basically the CDMA version of that...

WM5 is great, and if you need a mobile professional pda then its the best bet.

How did you get ahold of the phone and dechip it? I know nothing about cellphones outside the usa.

The SH903 is cool and all, but god damn do I hate Symbian

Not a huge fan of Symbian but you can recompile under a
lightened linux. Makes things a lot smoother. & I go to Japan
about 4-5 times a year. Anything 3G will work here on digital
roaming.

MOT you can get ahold of Vodafones (J-Phone) here pretty
easily. They aren't as high tech as DoCoMo's FOMA but they
still kick the shit outta Mac silly iPhone. My 0.02c

Apple is being sued over the name, they do not even own Iphone, cisco bought the name a few years back and has an Ip phone named the same.

This weeks is CES and Apple has to have there own show at the same time.

Not an Apple fan.
