If you think about it if all those uninsured people get hurt now, the middle class still carries the burden. Some illegal gets hurt now and has to go to the hospital, we still pay for it.

The plan sounds good expect the part about the state paying regardless of immigrant status. It would be absolutley ridiculous for tax payers to have to front the medical bills for every single illegal immigrant in California.Comment

The only thing that the hospital busines, AMA, and insurance companies agree on is that the consumer should have no input at all other than paying the tab. They don't care if it's premiums, taxes, or just a plain old check as long as they get paid. They're only arguing about who gets to decide how much the bill is.
Our choice - bandages or KY Jelly.
It's shouldn't be about insurance, politics, or the rest - it's about healthcare.
The sytem sucks. We're way down there around 15th. or 20th. in the world. However, we're really good at getting $250,000 out of old white men in the last 6 months of their lives. In the meantime, we're 18th. in the world in infant mortality.
