I think it's a great idea to mandate insurance. Matter of fact,
they should take it one step further. Anyone without insurance
should just be shown the door. If said illegal cannot provide

This will not benefit the state of California at all. They already can't educate the kids (not that any state can).
He wants to take money directly out of the pocket of the middle class and give it to the hospitals for coverage. The arguement of "we already pay for it" is not entirely true. Yes we pay for all the illegals as it is, yes, but this is going to be up and above that.
So you might find yourself paying helthcare for the guy down the street who doesn't pay his rent and steals from the local store for food.
Taking money from the citizens is never a good idea.
