Riding a sportbike 50 miles from downtown, in monsoon downpour with visibility 50 feet on the freeway, with random wind gusts in the 40 MPH range the other day was an adventure. I was soaked head to toe, my all weather jacket (ha-sort-of) did a good job of keeping the valuables in the pockets dry (phone is all really), my slacks not so much. I actually made a stop and pulled into a garage of a random auto glass repair place for a break. Guys in there were just shocked and amazed when I said I came from downtown. Took me a few detours through deep waters to get home thanks to accidents. Never saw it as a dual purpose take on any situation vehicle and not do I recommend it, but with careful navigation through nearly foot deep water I have a whole new respect for it.

I am in North Central IA right now and HOLY FUCKING SHIT BALLS ITS WAY TOO FUCKING HOT HERE. made it to 101 here at the inlaws house and with the Humidity in the 70+% range and the god dammed lack of any shade for miles, the Heat index was 113-118 in this area.

If I wanted to put up with that shit I would go live in Tucson with my family . I am ready for fucking snow already.
