its the same thing on oval racing. you think that the kart handles like shit? you need to scale figure out weight transfer and it is alot more competitive than road racing.Comment

Yes. It works fine for me, a hell of a lot better than those Digitron pieces of shit. A coworker has one of his kart and the RPM and all that stuff isnt realtime, all delayed a couple or 3 seconds before it updates again. Lame.
Off track, yes. I own a Mychron 3, its the basic, but it does everything I need it to do for me currently.
If I get sponsorship for this next season I may be looking into a new chassis and Mychron 4 depending how thorough it is and if I can de-tweak my current frame with the caster pills up front. It cracked, got welded up, raced a few races and it was decent, but it has a little extra camber on one side. Barely anything Of course the camber comes from all the way inboard at the spindle bearings so that also lifts the tire up some. Then that makes that corner of the front higher than the other and it touches the ground later messing up alignment with the bump steer.
Ugh... /OT

damn, new karts arent cheap any more, they are up to almost $2500!
the mychrons are all new to me, and we finally used the infared lap atachment and it was so awesome, we can we the min and max RPM and engine Temp. was really cool to see how the technology works!
heres a sample of a heat race.

I wish my chassis was $2500 bucks :drink:
The frame alone, without all the bits for mine (if I can even get it anymore, not sure if the 07 year chassis has enough changes that my components wouldn't fit) was about $1200 last time I replaced it. Fortunately though I didn't have to pay that since it broke so early. The replacement then finally cracked in basically the same spot but not all the way around so I'm in the process of hopefully fixing it.
If I were to/have to buy a new roller, with no engine package that runs upwards of $2500 (lets have another :drink:) is in the neighborhood of $3000.
Yeah, this is why I need to try to get to using some other people's money. Without chassis replacements, I'm spending I think about 5k a year easy, without transportation money.
