How about you just diagnose the problem with the tach?

It's either the SI board or the speed sensor wiring is funky. It beats the hell out of screwing with retrofitting the tach or attaching it to the dash or A pillar. Stop creating work. It's like replacing an engine instead of replacing spark plugs.

because nobody reads: the stack gage is free, it is 0-8k rpm, i now have an I engine with some sort of chip, my stock tach is broken

i was hating on toy monster trucks with toy m3 bodys on them
real monster trucks on the other hand, are cool....


and i was asking if the gauge is cool, and it would look ok ghetto rigged on the dash, if the gage is cool, but would not look good, or if it wasnt a good idea (gay gauge gay idea)

edit: the gauge is going in there, and i am going to replace the stock tach with that one (ie fit it in the stock cluster)
