I'm taking my girl on a vacation to tampa in april and want to spend a night in actual downtown tampa where the bars are. There is an area in tampa that has a wierd name, but it's a good party spot. Do any of you know where it is? I want to book a hotel there for a night. Thanks guys

He's after howard stern on howard 101 on sirius. Red-neck shock jock, he ran for sherriff in st pete I think, and owned one of the strip clubs (plush?), plus Bubba's Ale House, and Bubba's Beach Club in Ybor City.

Whatever, he's funny as hell. Total redneck, it's weird to hear after listening to stern all morning. Totally different, still lots of strippers and whores though.

tampa was my home as a child.. so if you're looking to stay in downtown tampa, expect to pay a good bit on a room, but ybor is still good, just don't wander too far off alone, the area surrounding can be pretty rough at night.

dont go past I4 if you're in ybor...you'll end up in the ghetto and get waved at by hookers.
