                  Why is the motor a good 3" away from the firewall? Couldn't you have made it tighter? I made some custom mounts for a m20 swap into an e21, and I got it really low and really far back, nice and tight fit.

                    Where the motor is sitting right now, there are NO mods necessary for the shift linkage. We are even using a factory trans mount. We didnt have to build custom motor mounts either...

                    Without modifying the firewall, we could have only located the motor an inch further backwards, which would have eliminated the need for a custom driveline, at the cost of custom motor brackets. In my eyes A custom driveshaft is a better alternative than custom motor mounts and custom shift linkage, but we all have different opinions. The M42 is much shorter than the M20 as well

                      what exactly killed the m10? that is, if you guys opened it up. Sounds like a spun rod bearing

                                That was the coolest video ever.

                                I would never to that to my ride though... I would have turned the engine into a coffee table or something rather than just ditching it.
