Texters: How much do you text?

Hey guys...my GF's son is averaging 66 texts per day for the last 4 months.

I say that is way too much...especially since his texting has caused his Moms cell bill over $200 in overages in 2 months.

He is now unlimited, but WTF, 66 per day?

i got unlimited after my buddy got his last girlfriend. and when they were dating i would text her like 200 times a day. seriously.

but now i am down to about 20 a day from various fools. my fingers dont ache quite so much now.

just depends sometimes i will text a lot one day but the next day i would wont really text at all. maybe about 2000-2300 a month.

I do about 5-10 a day on average. 66 a day isn't unrealistic if your other friends txt too.. but most of mine are old and out of touch so they don't like it. personally I find it much more convienent for smaller messages than bothering to call somebody and go through all the motions associated with that. the unlimited plan is definitely worth it though, screw paying 25 cents a message!

I do between 2000 and 2500 per month. Its not surprising he wants to text that much Luke. But in all reality... if it is cost that much I would make him pay for it, other wise dont text so much. I was on a family plan with my mom and dad and when I started talking on the phone a lot and texting a lot, I got my own plan so I didnt have to worry about costing my mom so much money.

I think I average around 100/day with the girlfriend, well when I'm not busy. If I'm busy that goes down substantially.

text plans dont extend your contract generally. I would just get a bigger plan. I started with 300 messages/month many years ago, then hit 800 in one month and got hit with many overages. Now I rarely go above 3-400 a month but that 9.99 for 1000 messages plan on cingular keeps me happy I won't have the 100$ overage. Just change the plan to unlimited, and make him pay for it. Shouldn't be more than a buck a day. Teach him how to solder, and make him do benchwork for a day for you, ought to pay for it.

It'll go up from there. I had around 3000 last month from mostly one chick. Better watch out, they like to send the nudz all the time too ;)
