I think its due to the way that were conditioned as small children. We are taught to lighten up the words and tiptoe around things we find shameful. Example: poopy, poo, #2, caca, etc. Its happens with any part of the body society also finds shameful, such as wee-wee, pee-pee, for penis. We are taught indirectly to be ashamed of certain parts of the human body. I for instance cannot comprehend why its so tough to tell your kis at an early age where babies come from, its the adult thats embarassed, not the child. The kid doesnt know shit to be embarassed about, but we make up this shit about the stork. If you say it in a normal voice and dont attach a stigma to it, then there shouldnt be a problem. It should be just like telling a kid where rain comes from. We dont have other words for arm, or fingers. Its there that we develop our percieved dislike of anything having to do with those functions of the body.
