I know that is not that bad, but I am only 19 so not as many jobs as you guys. Blunt, 80K a year for that first job is pretty nice. I know the job sucked, but the pay was damn good. But ya, I would have left too.
i never really left. it kind of got phased out and they started making inmates clean shit up. i only did it in the beginning and then i hired young guys to do it. i have a good story about my first night in the jail. we were all dressed in regular street clothes. 4 or 5 of us and there was a party of sorts for the deputies as someone was leaving or whatever. they offered us catered food while we were waiting. i had a plate of food and was sitting outside a holding cell for shitbags that were going thru processing. this huge black angry motherfucker sticks his head up against the bars of the holding cell and says to me. "bitch, why the fuck do you get to eat"?
he didnt know if i was a worker or someone being processed to be locked up. i looked at him and said "its because we are white" and if those bars would have been any lighter duty he would have got thru them and killed me. he was spitting and cussing and so fucking angry at me but i knew i was safe and just walked away. he was literally twice my size and would have murdered me had he got his hands on me

The worst job I have ever had? Line cook at a local and popular place. 4.95 an hour in the heat of the summer with a grill, broiler, 3 deep fryers, and oven w/cook top going. Not fun my shifts sucked I had 50+ hours a week while in high school.

Now I am a pipe layer I love my job but it has it nasty parts. 3 years ago we were replacing a 10" sanitary sewer behind a strip mall that had a grocery store that cut its own meat, 2 asian food places, an a nail place in it. We had to do it live so every cut I was wading around knee deep in that mix, I would gag every time we would brake in to the pipe.

2 months latter we had to change out the pumps in a lift station (a big hole in where all you sewer goes if you have a pressure sewer service) Well we had it pumped out an all the incoming valve shut down, an me an my foreman are in the bottom of this 35' foot deep cement box caked with poo an no good way out, swappin pumps out. Some dip shits from another company hit the incoming line aways away an so the went about turning valves trying to shut it off. Not knowing we were working in the lift station and had it turned off already. They turned the fucking valve on. Needless to say my boss an I were covered in what ever people put down the drain or shiter all ground up . I have other nasty stories about shit I have found in sewers an what not but these 2 stick out in my mind.

Nothing nearly as bad as everyone else, but my first job working at Baskin Robbins. The owner was a really creepy dude that smiled no matter what mood he was in. Fucking weird. Anyway, we didn't get any breaks, it was during the summer so I worked harder then I have ever worked before serving ice cream to 8 hours worth of people. And when I wasn't serving ice cream, I was cleaning. We had to use bleach water for everything, so my hands got all dried to hell and cracked open all over. I actually almost dripped blood in someones ice cream one time. I finally got fired after one of the dipper cases got turned off accidentally at night and 40 gallons ($500 worth) of ice cream got melted. I was happy to go. Food service sucks.

Mine is not as bad as some, but it was still pretty gross.

My friends parents own a dairy, so occasionally I would help them out with a few extra jobs here and there for a couple extra bucks. Most of the time it was washing the cases that they cart the milk around in, but that usually was a somewhat good time cause it just took time and was hot. One night though my friends mom told us there was a bunch of sour milk out back that needed to be transferred from the milk jugs it was in into 5 gallon buckets. This stuff was gross. Seriously, I have never seen chocolate sour creme until I poured out jug after jug of 3 month old chocolate milk. We literally took t-shirts, sprayed them with cologne, and wrapped them aroud our faces. You could still smell the crap. Probably one of the grossest things I have ever done. Just imagine being finished and having a few 5 gallon buckets of sour milk. UUUUhhgggggg!! Makes my stomach turn just thinking about it.

I think I did it one other time after that, but I'm glad that wasn't an everyday thing for me.
