Honesty is usually the best policy, however, I admit that I told some really big WHOPPERS of a lie.. everything from telling women that I know certain celebrities (so that I can get laid) to telling my parents that I didn't know how their expensive antique vase got broken while they were out of town.
Once when I was in college, I didn't want my parents to know that I was failing my classes so what I did was intercept the mail and then I went to a printer to have blank report cards made up. I took the blanks back to my dorm room and reprinted my report card and mailed it home after creating a very official looking "tear-away" type of envelope. A couple of weeks later my parents called me at school and told me that my grades came in the mail. "Oh really? What did I get?"
I don't know if they ever figured out what I did but I guess they realized that too many months went by without recieveing any corrospondance from the school, and they called the school to inquire about my midterms. Sure enough I was failing again and one day my dad called me up and said, "I just talked to your school. Is there anything you want to tell me?" He was highly ticked off at the fact that I changed the mailing address behind their back and that I flunked my midterms that I really didn't want to tell them about the fake report card too.
